Istanbul Family Reunion (4 of 4)

Friday morning we got back in the tour bus for a three-hour drive east to Pamukkale, which means "cotton castle" in Turkish. This is a World Heritage site famous for its hot springs and travertines, terraces of carbonate minerals left by the flowing water. The ancient Greco-Roman and Byzantine city of Hierapolis was built on top of the travertines. We toured through the ruins and then took a few minutes for a dip in the waters.

Back to Istanbul late that night and the following morning we all headed off to the airport to return home.

Bye Bye and back Home
